1.
Who was your favorite character (s) from the
film? Why?
My favorite characters from the story is Derrick Thompson, mostly because I personally love boxing. I also like Derrick’s character the most, because perseverance for becoming the best boxer in Jamaica and the will he had to end with the corruption and the segregation inside the garrisons community’s.

2. How does the film compare to the other
Jamaican films from the 70s? (Besides visual effects, think about the plot and
character development).
I think that in this film the director creates an atmosphere that is more developed than in the others Jamaican films from the 70s. In this movie we don’t see just Derrick Thompson’s life but also we can learn more about a lot of the characters in the film. This meaning in a better development of characters and also better understanding of the world we are seeing on screen.
3. How are women portrayed in this film? Is it a little or big advancement compared to the films from the 1970's?
I think that women in this film are still portrayed like in the films from the 1970's.I think that women are still being seeing just as and object, and are represented with the typical women stereotypical roles, being only Dawn Thomson able to break some of the traditional stereotypes but not all of them because most of the film she is portrayed just as a housewife.
